It feels like just yesterday, but Ford’s revolutionary voice-enabled in-car infotainment system SYNC has officially turned five! In fact, five million vehicles featuring the revolutionary SYNC in-car connectivity system have driven off Ford lots around the world.  Powered by Nuance technology, SYNC and MyFord Touch have changed the way people engage content and services in their car, letting people make calls, find and listen to music, get directions, local business information or even set the temperature – all by using their voice.

Over the last five years, Nuance and Ford have worked together to continuously evolve and innovate the SYNC and MyFord Touch systems, with more features, increased accuracy and more intuitive commands.  In fact, the initial 100 basic voice commands rapidly grew to over 10,000+ voice commands for increased accuracy and capabilities. And SYNC is global, supporting over 19 languages for voice recognition and text to speech.

So please join us in congratulating Ford on 5 years of SYNC – to learn more, check out today’s announcement.
