The connected car market continues to heat up, as Nuance announced that Dragon Drive is powering the voice capabilities behind Toyota’s new smart G-BOOK smartphone application, part of Toyota’s G-BOOK Telematics service in Japan. Dragon Drive’s Japanese voice recognition capabilities will be embedded by Toyota directly into the smart G-BOOK app, allowing users to seek out important information – such as directions and news – using natural voice input.

For instance, people can say, “Find the nearest gas station,” “Looking for Italian restaurants open today,” “Find sports news,” and more. Dragon Drive features the same core Dragon voice recognition technology available as part of the successful Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search smartphone application in Japan.
