Last week Nuance announced that it will be integrating the acquired Tweddle Connect app and connected services platform into its Dragon Drive connected car offering – and we’re proud to announce that the Tweddle Connect platform has just received the “Best Telematics Content Aggregator Award” at the 2013 Telematics Update Awards. The award recognizes and rewards companies that are producing platforms that have a unique way of aggregating content and bringing it into a vehicle. Tweddle Connect’s platform links cloud-based services with a car’s electronic system to deliver an authentic services experience, allowing drivers to complete tasks like searching for music, finding local points of interest, searching for local restaurants – and much more.
Tweddle Connect’s technologies were chosen among six other nominations. Over 350 companies submitted nominations for the 2013 Telematics Update Awards.
Nuance already supplies some of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers – including BMW, Audi, and General Motors – with voice solutions through its Dragon Drive platform. Dragon Drive safely supports a number of functions for drivers, including voice dialing, navigation, and climate control. The combination of Dragon Drive and Tweddle Connect will supply automakers with a single, all-encompassing voice platform, enabling them to give vehicle owners safe access to third-party applications and web services while driving.
Join us in congratulating the Tweddle Connect team here at Nuance!
