People nowadays have a music database of thousands of music titles, and more and more consumers subscribe to online music services. Navigating through the music selection however can be really annoying. Nuance and Gracenote have agreed a strategic partnership to enhance the music selection experience of music in automotive and music and video beyond automotive.

Nuance and Gracenote have worked together since 2001 and have provided the two key pieces of voice enabled music solutions shipping in automotive since 2009 now these two parts will be brought together are one total solution from Nuance – VoCon Music.   VoCon Music will deliver an unmatched voice experience where consumers can simply speak the name of almost any artist, song, or album, and instantly get results – even for the most difficult artist names for systems to recognize, such as Ke$ha, AC/DC and 311.

The combined solution provides a multi-lingual solution for 30 languages worldwide with editorially checked content for 17 languages covering 48 countries.  This powerful new solution enables users to select music with alternative names, nicknames, common mispronunciations and more.
